Each Udemy course contains a question and answers section, where you can ask the instructor questions about the course. You can quickly view answers the instructor has posted, ask your own question, or read and respond to comments other users have made.
Ask a Question in the Course Player
If a question comes to mind while you’re viewing or reading a course lecture, you can access the Q&A, by clicking the Q&A icon below the course player.
Next, type your question in the Search all course questions option, and if another user has asked this question before it will appear below. Questions and answers containing the same words will also appear.
If your question regarding course content hasn’t been asked before, you will be prompted to enter your question and submit it to the Q&A. Please note that in order to ask a new question, text must be entered into the title field, so that the publish button is enabled.
If the course instructor has posted their availability and when you can expect an answer to your question, then this information will appear below.
Follow a Question and its Responses
By using the Q&A on the course player, you can also prioritize questions and responses you wish to monitor, by using the Follow Replies option. When a user or instructor posts a response, we’ll send you a notification.
To stop following a question and the thread of responses, click on Following Replies.
Additional Search Filters
You can search through questions and answers by using the sort by most recent, upvoted, or recommended filters. In addition, you can also use the Questions I’m following, Questions I asked or Questions without responses filters.
Upvote a Question
You can recommend questions you believe others should see or answer by clicking on the upvote (arrow) icon. You can also sort through questions to find the most relevant ones by using the upvote filter.
Edit or Delete a Question or Comment
If you need to edit your question or comment in the Q&A, or wish to delete it, click on the three dots that appear at the top right hand of your post.
Either the user who posted the question, or the course instructor, can delete the post.
