Making it Easier and Faster for People to Find the Right Course
It’s our goal to ensure that every user is able to discover the content they need when they need it. That’s why we’ve been improving our search functionality and have launched some key features to the course discovery experience. These updates include:
- Updated search results layout that makes it easier to find the right course
- Filtering search results by skill level - Intermediate, Beginner, or Expert
- Filtering search results by course features like captions, quizzes, and coding exercises
- Sorting courses by relevancy, ratings, and recency
- Search autocorrect through "Did you mean?" for relevant misspelled searches
To take advantage of these great new features, log into your Udemy for Business account, click on Manage, then navigate to the Users page. From here you can click on an individual user to see the course(s) he is enrolled in and the course progress he has made..
A New, Improved User Management Interface
Our new interface and design empowers you to create, edit and delete groups much more easily from the Manage > Manage Users page when you’re logged into your Udemy for Business account.
Not taking advantage of groups on Udemy? Check them out today. Use groups to break out your learning analytics. See the adoption, user activity and course insights for specific teams and departments within your organization.
Forgot to add someone, or did someone new join a group? Easily add individuals directly to a group or groups, edit their role within the organization, or send a user a message to drive learning forward on Udemy.
Understand What and how Individual Users are Learning
Previously, it was very difficult to see what and how individual users were learning on Udemy. Now, you can see the specific courses a user is taking and view his or her course progress. You can also sort by course and course progress by clicking the Course, Last Active and Course Progress arrows at the top of the screen.
We hope that you and your team can leverage these new features and insights to reward your most active learners and continue to encourage all your employees to learn new skills on Udemy.
In Beta now: English Captions and Learning Localization
At Udemy it is our mission to help employees do whatever comes next. That’s why we're excited to announce the availability of English Captions (in beta) for a select group of courses on Udemy for Business.
Users will now be able to turn captions on for any of the courses in our collection that have English captions available (see list below). English Captions improve the digital learning experience for users that don’t consider English as their native language, for users that may learn better with the aid of on screen text or for users with any hearing-impairment. Over the next few months we’ll be adding even more learning localization features.
This is just the first step towards creating a more accessible and engaging learning experience for all users, everywhere. You can view the English captions-enabled courses on Udemy for Business here.
